Born Emile Berliner in Hanover, Germany, he emigrated to the United States of America in 1870, established himself around Washington, D.C.. When the few period working inside a dry goods store, he became interested in the newly audio technology of the telephone and phonograph, and invented an improved telephone transmitter acquired per Bell Telephone Company, one of the 1st types of microphone. Berliner worked for Bell Telephone within Boston from 1877 to 1883, when he returned to Wa & established himself as a personal investigator.
